Annotation

The issues of implementation of an analog transversal zero-phase filter are considered, in which filtering is performed as the signal passes through a number of delay lines and the addition of delayed signals from the corresponding taps. Under certain conditions, all delayed signals are added in-phase (passband) or anti-phase (stopband). The filter is made according to the difference circuit, the main advantage of which is the high accuracy of the implementation of the phase characteristic. A block diagram of a transversal filter is given, according to which the filter’s transfer characteristic is considered not relative to its real input, but relative to the virtual input placed in the center of a chain of series-connected phase filters, which makes the zero-phase analog filter implementation real. The principle of operation of the filter is described, which consists in convolution of the input signal with the desired impulse response. A method for solving the problem of approximating the amplitude-frequency characteristic of a broadband transversal zero-phase filter is shown by dividing the desired operating frequency range into intervals, as well as recording and solving a system of equations from the corresponding filter transfer functions recorded for these intervals.
