Annotation

The Arctic is a specific geographical region, that affects any person’s staying and working, so it demands researching and accounting in the practice of navigation. The most difficult period is ice navigation. Ice navigation is associated with a large number of difficulties for crew members, which are containing not only geological and physical conditions the water area, but also are climatic and natural factors that can be impacted on mental and physical state of a person. Approximate route of vessels in Russian Arctic can be used on analyze selected natural and climatic conditions. Length of the polar day and the polar night, low mean and extreme temperature in the wintertime, maximum number of foggy days in the wintertime, and the duration of the ice period as various factors of the environment were addressed this article. Matrix of repeatability on the selected points of extreme natural conditions drawn up based on the cumulative comparisons of analysis and zoning natural conditions results on Northern Sea Route (NSR). Performed zoning of NSR identified the most dangerous areas for work of vessel operators because of meeting of extreme difficulties nature conditions.
