Electrostatic discharge to the cover of shipboard electronic equipment may lead to malfunction of electronic components inside the case due to generated electromagnetic field. The influence of the field depends on the type of case parts connection. Electromagnetic field strength for different connections of top cover with the equipment case is presented.
