Annotation

The article examines such important concepts for the development of the shipbuilding economy as VR/AR technologies. The analysis of the impact of these digital tools on the shipbuilding industry and engineering in general is carried out. The prospects for the development of these technologies in the design of shipbuilding products and offshore developments are considered. Successfully implemented projects in which virtual and augmented reality technologies were used are described. The application of these technologies is an urgent task for shipbuilder engineers. Such innovative products are being introduced faster now than ever before in the global shipbuilding industry because the main technological feature of the design and construction of a vessel is the widespread introduction of digital methods for creating a project, storing and transmitting structured digital information at all stages of the ships life cycle. Considering that ships are expensive and complex objects that combine many systems and equipment, the presence of advanced.
